  • storage: 画像・設定(chrome.storage.local)と、タブごとの一時的な状態(chrome.storage.session)を保存するために使います

English

This Privacy Policy explains how BLANKS WORK (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in Pixel Check (the “Extension”), a Chrome extension for comparing design images with live web pages.

1. Summary

The Extension does not send your images, web page content, browsing history, or settings to us or to any third party. All data handled by the Extension is processed and stored locally in your browser.

2. Information the Extension Handles

To provide its features, the Extension handles the following information locally on your device:

  • Design images you choose: PNG and JPG files that you select or drag into the Extension, and their file names.
  • Extension settings: such as image position, display width, opacity, blend mode, selected mode, the fields shown in Element Select mode, the position of the in-page panel, and display preferences.
  • Limited web page information: while you use Element Select mode, the Extension reads the tag name, ID, class names, size, position, and computed styles (layout, spacing, typography, background and border) of the element under the pointer, and displays them to you. When you use the page-width adjustment feature, the Extension reads the width of the page (document.body). This information is used only for display and calculation, and is neither stored nor transmitted.
  • Pointer position: the Extension uses the pointer position to identify the element under the pointer in Element Select mode and to measure distances in Measure mode. Pointer position is neither stored nor transmitted. The resulting position of an image that you drag is saved as a setting.

The Extension does not collect account credentials, payment information, health information, location data, personal communications, browsing history, or analytics data.

3. How Information Is Used

The information above is used only to provide the following features:

  • overlaying your selected design image on the current page;
  • adjusting and saving overlay settings;
  • measuring distances on the page;
  • showing information about the element under the pointer; and
  • resizing the Chrome window when you use the page-width adjustment feature.

4. Storage and Retention

Design images and settings are stored in Chrome’s local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device. They remain there until you delete them, clear the Extension’s stored data, or uninstall the Extension.

A temporary per-tab state (whether the overlay is shown in that tab) is kept in chrome.storage.session. It is kept only for the browser session and is removed when you close the tab or the browser. It is also cleared when the Extension is updated or reloaded.

5. Permissions

The Extension uses the following permissions. None of them is used to send data outside your browser.

  • storage: to save images and settings (chrome.storage.local) and the temporary per-tab state (chrome.storage.session).
  • unlimitedStorage: to remove the storage size limit so that you can keep multiple design images on your device. This permission does not allow the Extension to upload data to external servers.
  • activeTab: to run the Extension on the current tab in response to your actions, such as clicking the toolbar button.
  • tabs: to identify the current tab (tabs.query) and send your actions to it (tabs.sendMessage), such as toggling the overlay, changing modes, or reading the page width. It is also used to clear a tab’s temporary state when the tab is closed.
  • sidePanel: to show the control panel in Chrome’s side panel when you click the toolbar button.
  • windows: to change the width of the current Chrome window (windows.update) when you click “Resize window” in the page-width adjustment feature.

The Extension also runs a script (content script) on pages at all URLs, so that you can overlay design images on any web page. This script only handles the information described in Section 2 within the page, and does not collect or transmit page content.

6. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent, trade, share, or transfer your data to third parties. The Extension does not use advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, remote logging, or external data-processing services.

7. Network Access

The Extension does not make network requests to collect, transmit, or synchronize your data. It operates locally in your browser.

8. Deleting Your Data

You can delete your data at any time by:

  • deleting individual design images in the Extension;
  • removing the Extension from Chrome, which also removes its extension storage; or
  • clearing the Extension’s stored data through Chrome’s settings, where available.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Extension is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we change this Privacy Policy, we will update the “Updated” date on this page. If the Extension’s data-handling practices change materially, we will update this policy before or when the change takes effect.
